"Backfire" is a 1995 spoof of "Backdraft" with Kathy Ireland, Robert Mitchum, Telly Savales and others. At one point rescue personnel come across a victim holding a "take a number" tag with the number 37. One of the rescuers (perhaps Robert Mitchum, but I forget) says "When someone's number's up, there's nothing anybody can do". The camera flashes to a "Now serving" sign, which flips over to number 37.
